Bautzen Innovation Centre

The Bautzen Innovation Centre (TGZ) is located in the middle of eastern Saxony (Upper Lusatia) close to Poland and the Czech Republic in the south-east of Germany. TGZ Bautzen is a not-for-profit organisation, the shareholders being the town of Bautzen, the district of Bautzen and Bautzen Savings Bank. TGZ works with a staff of about 10 well-educated employees to run the Innovation Centre and to carry out projects promoting regional economic development. Bautzen Innovation Centre collaborates with the University of Cooperative Education in Bautzen to improve the transfer of knowledge and know-how to the regional enterprises. Bautzen Innovation Centre is the coordinator of the regional network “Continuing Education for SMEs
in Upper Lusatia”.

The Bautzen Innovation Centre has a wide experience in carrying out the creation and management of multi disciplinary working groups. During the project E-Teams (Interreg-III-C) the Bautzen Innovation Centre orhanized several working gorups among companies (SMEs) and policy makers. The results were successfully transferred and developed during the project. Co-operation with the applicant during this project.
