Timisoara Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (Romania):
Timisoara Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (TCCIA) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization, created in 1850. The organization has resumed its activity in 1990 based on the Decree Law no.134/1990. TCCIA is an organization specific for the market economy, a public and self-sustained organization. Its existence is linked to the continues promotion of the business community’s interests and to the increase of its members’ competitivity in a local, national and international economic environment. According to the Timişoara CCIA’s objectives for the period 1998 – 2002, adopted by the General Assembly of TCCIA's members, the Chamber’s approach on economic development is multi-levelled: local (Timisoara area), districtual (Timis county), regional (5th Western Region ), cross-border (cross-border region with Hungary), euroregional (DKMT Euroregion), interregional and international.
