Aims

Workplace training is an important part for the Vocational Training student as it helps to ensures a smooth transition from schools to the labour market.

This placements have many benefits for both students and companies:
  • Complementary training apart from theoretical lessons.
  • Direct contact to real production equipments.
  • First labour experience.
  • Possibility for the companies to know in advance the quality of future workers.
  • Facilitate the labour market transition for Initial Vocational Training students.
  • Creating a link between educational and business worlds.
International workplace training have other additional benefits such as:
  • Understanding other cultures
  • Learning other working methods.
  • Improving language skills
  • Added value to the student's C.V.

The main objective of the project is to ensure the quality of the international workplace training experience for a wide range of initial vocational students regardless of the company sector, country and field.

The project will create a handbook adapted to international workplace training taking into account the different materials and guidelines already used for national workplace training.

This handbook will be disseminated at European level in order to ensure successful mobility experiences, make clear the roles of each player involved, facilitating the overall procedures of the whole mobility experience and standardizing them for both old and new EU member, taking into account common and local needs.
